A Tale of A Foolish Cinderella

Previous story: Cinderella and the prince — who’s now become a king, broke up, they stopped talking to each other and moved on with their own life.       Until one day, The King suddenly rang the bell and showed up at the doorstep. “How are you doing?” He asked casually. Cinderella was so flustered, yet foolishly happy by the chance to reconnect with someone she used to or was probably still in love with.      It appears that The King needed support from Cinderella to withstand attacks from neighboring kingdoms that wanted to dethrone him. After his mother and father gave him the throne, The King ruled his kingdom alone. Cinderella, who knew that man like the back of her hand, understood the struggle. Elvira assholes, I shouldn’t tell her that I am in this town. I should’ve known this thing would happen. Or maybe, this is exactly the thing I wished for? But now I see it clearly again: my self-control is not reliable at all when it comes to Ethan. “I won’t do anything with you. It’s enough for us to dance and talk for the past hours. You were my best friend, and still you are.” I said. Barely. With a voice to convince myself rather than trying to convince him. “Ah c’mon, I know you want it too.” “I won’t say I don’t. But you know, I am engaged.” I showed him my ring finger which was filled with a quite big diamond. My fiancè spent a fortune on this, I didn’t even ask. “Really? Are you...
